Participating in Christmas for Kids can Easily be One of the Most Fulfilling Couple of Hours you have all Year
Christmas for Kids will be back in person on December 7th, 2022.
Starting November 1st, 2022, sign up to participate in this year’s most fulfilling event!
Christmas for Kids will be on Wednesday, December 7th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
After November 1st, please sign up for your volunteer child shopping time. ALL volunteer shoppers MUST pre-register.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the event!
How it Works
Kids chosen from Portland area Title 1 schools that have been identified as highly in need by their teachers and counselors are selected to go Christmas shopping at the Hollywood Fred Meyer. With their Christmas list in hand (mostly consisting of basic needs like a winter coat and hygiene products), each kid is paired with a caring volunteer like YOU to shop with them.
he impact that a few hours of your time can have on these kids (AND their families) is immeasurable. Shopping with a kid gives a touching firsthand perspective on the true meaning of Christmas.
