After 35 years of supporting our community, The
Christmas for Kids Foundation will be ending in 2025.
School transportation issues, declining donations, and
volunteer shortages were factors in retiring our program.
Thank you for helping us bring joy to thousands of
Portland Metro Area children, we are so grateful!!
As we enter our final year, we remain committed to doing
what we have always done: putting kids first. Our
remaining funds will provide a warm winter coat to
thousands of Portland Metro Area children in Title One
Schools.

Who We Are
Christmas for Kids is a magical event where local Portland, Oregon Metro area kids are selected by their Title One School counselors, due to extreme need, to join a volunteer shopper to check off a Christmas wishlist. Our focus is to provide basic clothing needs for the child and their immediate siblings.
A combination of donated funds, donated items (coats, books, hygiene items, etc.), vastly reduced prices, and volunteer contributions create a unique situation in our organization where, on average, over 97¢ of every dollar donated is spent on the child on the day of the event.
After more than 35 years of supporting children in our community, Christmas for Kids will be ending in 2025. Thank you for helping us bring joy to thousands of children—we are so grateful.
